Cech moved to the Gunners from Chelsea for £11m on Monday and says that he will not be thinking about retiring for another seven years.

"I don't want to speak about retirement for another seven years. That’s my target and then I'll see," he said.

"You can have a plan but, sometimes, it doesn’t turn out the way you want.

"This move is one of those things I didn’t expect — but I’m glad it happened."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said at the time of Cech's signing: “Petr Cech is a player that I have admired for a long time and I am very pleased that he has decided to join us. He has proven over many seasons that he is one of the outstanding keepers in the world and he will add great strength to our squad.”
