Mesut Ozil delivers bizarre thank you message whilst perched on a garden step
Arsenal play-maker has just returned to action after a lengthy injury lay-off
Mesut Ozil last night released a bizarrely awkward message thanking "everybody" for their support.
The Arsenal midfielder is a keen user of social media and posted the video message on Twitter, labelling it as "a message to all my fans!" along with the hashtag #YouAreTheBest.
In the nine-second video the German World Cup winner perches awkwardly on a garden step from where he directs his message into camera.
He tells them: "Hi everybody. Thank you so much for your support - following all my social media platforms. Really appreciate it."
The dead-pan style of delivery quickly saw the former Real Madrid player compared to a robot and Terminator actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Ozil will be hoping he can employ a bit more flamboyancy in his performances as he tries to win back his place in the Arsenal side having only recently returned from a three-month injury lay-off.
