Jack Taylor, the former referee who officiated at the 1974 World Cup final, has died at his Shropshire home at the age of 82.
Described by the Football League in a statement as "perhaps the finest English referee of all time", Taylor awarded the first penalties in a World Cup final as West Germany beat the Netherlands 2-1.
