The Court of Arbitration for Sport has dismissed Musa Bility’s appeal to overturn his exclusion from Fifa’s presidential election, which is to be held next February.

Bility, president of the Liberian football association, failed an integrity check last month, leading the world football governing body to declare his candidacy “principally rejected”.

At the time, Fifa gave no reason for Bility’s exclusion. Cas says it will release the reasoning behind its verdict early in January.

Bility said he will hear Cas’ grounds for rejecting his appeal before deciding on his next course of action. However, following the rejection, no further options to appeal are open to him.

"I am stunned by the decision," he told BBC Sport. "This brings an end our participation in the 2016 Fifa presidential race.

"Our struggle to bring more transparency to the worldwide football family will never end and we hope to share more information on the process as things progress.

"The Liberian FA will remain an active participant of the process and ensure that its vote counts."
