Cannavaro was reportedly caught swimming in the property's pool with his wife - leading to the breach of orders and the 10 month sentence. His wife, Daniela Arenoso, and brother Paolo have also been given custodial sentences.
All three have appealed, meaning the sentence is suspended until a final judgement is made.
Cannavaro recently became manager of Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande where he has led the club into the Asian Champions League.
