The Football Association has overturned the Fulham midfielder Luis Boa Morte's red card for an alleged bite on Everton's David Weir on 8 December. Video evidence proved Boa Morte was guilty of no more than a late tackle.

The Middlesbrough midfielder Mark Summerbell has been suspended for two weeks after breaching the club's disciplinary code.

There has been no explanation of what misdemeanour Summerbell committed and the club said the "incident" was a private matter.

David Ginola has requested a personal hearing to answer an FA misconduct charge, which has been scheduled for 24 January. The Aston Villa midfielder was charged after confronting the fourth official Clive Wilkes by the Villa dugout following his red card against Leicester earlier this month.

Blackburn Rovers have been cleared by the FA after a charge of "mass confrontation", arising from a Worthington Cup tie in September against Oldham Athletic. Oldham were warned as to their future conduct and fined £2,000 after admitting a breach of FA rules.
