From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Any perceived bias against Arsenal from BT Sport can perhaps now be laid to rest.

The Premier League broadcasters have announced that their partnership with the Gunners has been extended for a further two years.

The agreement will see BT Sport promote their coverage through Arsenal's digital channels, whilst also allowing them access to the Gunners' first-team players - as well as manager Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal's sales and marketing director Vinai Venkatesham said: "We are delighted to extend our relationship with BT Sport as an official partner for a further two years.

"We will continue to work in close collaboration with the team at BT Sport to deliver benefits for fans and exclusive content which will add an extra dimension to their coverage."

Earlier this summer, BT Sport's promotion for their coverage of the upcoming Premier League season came in for criticism from some Arsenal fans.

An advertisement (above) with the tag line "You have to see it to believe it" enraged sections of support when it appeared to make fun of their thrashing at the hands of Liverpool last season. The commercial featured Jose Mourinho, Rio Ferdinand and Jake Humphrey laughing at the hapless 5-1 performance.

Then, just a couple of days later another advert was released with Arsenal's 6-0 thrashing to Chelsea taking centre-stage.

Coinciding perfectly with the fresh agreement, a new commercial has been released recapping Arsenal's victory over Liverpool on their way to FA Cup glory (above).
