William Gallas has called time on his career at the age of 37.

The former France international will be remembered as a great defender; During his career he won two league titles, a league cup and the Confederations Cup. He was also twice named in the Premier League team of the year.

However he was also a player prone the the odd mad-cap moment.

His career took in the three biggest London clubs in the shape of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. At the first two in particular he endured moments that will take some time to forget.

At his final club Perth Glory he also managed to hit the headlines for the wrong reasons whilst his time with the national team wasn't without incident.
