Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Akanji jumps out of the way of Ake's header as it bounces into the ground, and it's not until it clears the defender that Leno dives. It does look like he was blocking the keeper's view, but VAR doesn't see it that way, and the goal will stand.

Fulham are absolutely furious that Ake's goal stands, and they're crowding the referee as the protests continue. Silva is also venting his frustrations from the sidelines, and the referee is giving them a moment to calm down before the game restarts.
