Liverpool 3-1 victory over Tottenham was a 'deserved win', says Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are all in the spotlight on this transfer deadline day and you can follow the latest right here throughout the day.

The January window closes at 11pm GMT and before then Liverpool are hoping to sign a centre-back, with Preston defender Ben Davies arriving permanently with Schalke’s Ozan Kabak joining him until the summer. Manchester United are looking to complete final exits with defender Marcos Rojo set to join Boca Juniors in his native Argentina, and Phil Jones and Sergio Romero set to depart in the summer if not today. Arsenal are also facing a decision on a defender’s departure as bids come in for Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Southampton, West Brom, Newcastle and Leicester are all thought to be jostling in the queue for the England international.

Elsewhere Leicester want Watford midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, Paris Saint-Germain’s Idrissa Gueye has rejected a loan move to Newcastle United, and Christian Eriksen’s future remains up in the air with Tottenham interested in securing his services on loan until the end of the season, after last night’s disappointing defeat at Brighton. Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin is heading for Galatasaray but Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour is staying put after a U-turn from new boss Thomas Tuchel. And in France, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in taking Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos to join Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

Follow all the latest rumours, gossip and done deals below.

NEWCASTLE SET TO SIGN WILLOCK

It sounds increasingly like Newcastle will be getting one new face in through the door tonight, but only one.

Arsenal’s Joe Willock is set to join the Magpies on loan for the remainder of the season.

However, the midfielder’s arrival is set to end any hope of fellow midfield man Hamza Choudhury joining from Leicester.

STRIKER SEARCH AT SOUTHAMPTON

Bournemouth are interested in Shane Long but Southampton would only let the striker leave if they can get in a replacement like the Cherries' Josh King, which looks unlikely at the moment.

Fulham are also interested in King.

That one looks like it will go right down to the 11pm wire.

MAITLAND-NILES NEARS WEST BROM

West Brom have completed the deadline-day loan signing of Okay Yokuslu from Celta Vigo and are closing in on Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Yokuslu's arrival follows those of Mbaye Diagne, who moved on loan from Galatasaray, and Robert Snodgrass, while the Baggies have also agreed to take England international Maitland-Niles on loan for the rest of the season.

Southampton were interested in Maitland-Niles but the Press Association understands they pulled out because the player did not appear sold on the switch and are now eyeing up a move for Tottenham's Japhet Tanganga.

FERNANDES LEAVES SPURS

Gedson Fernandes' loan spell at Tottenham has ended with the Benfica player moving on to Galatasaray.

Fernandes became the first signing of the Jose Mourinho era last January on an 18-month loan deal, with Spurs having the option to make the move permanent for a reported £56million.

"We can confirm that midfielder Gedson Fernandes has been recalled by his parent club, Benfica," read a Tottenham statement.

"We wish Gedson well for the future."

YEDLIN LEAVES NEWCASTLE

Galatasaray have completed the signing of United States defender DeAndre Yedlin from Newcastle.

Yedlin's contract was due to expire in the summer and he had been unavailable recently due to what manager Steve Bruce described as "a visa issue".

The 27-year-old has completed a permanent switch to the Turkish giants, with a post on Galatasaray's Twitter feed announcing: "Welcome to Galatasaray, DeAndre Yedlin."

CITY AGREE BAAH DEAL

Manchester City have struck a deal to sign Rochdale winger Kwadwo Baah, according to Sky Sports.

The 18-year-old is a free agent this summer, presenting a unique opportunity for many clubs.

But City look to have won out in the race to sign Baah, who enjoyed a spell with Crystal Palace's academy and has three goals and two assists in all competitions this term.

DOUBLE DEAL AT RANGERS

Scott Wright and Jack Simpson are both set to complete immediate moves to Rangers.

Both players agreed pre-contracts last week but Wright will sign a four-and-a-half-year deal before the deadline after Rangers agreed to give Aberdeen an £150,000 discount on Ross McCrorie, the PA news agency understands.

Gers agreed to slash the £350,000 fee they had agreed with Pittodrie bosses to make loan player McCrorie's Dons move permanent in the summer and the Scotland Under-21 captain will now become an Aberdeen player outright.

Rangers have decided to push ahead with the Wright deal after agreeing to allow Brandon Barker join Oxford on loan.

WEST BROM SIGN YOKUŞLU

Turkey international Okay Yokuslu has joined West Brom on loan from Celta Vigo until the end of the season.

Sporting and Technical Director Luke Dowling said: “It has been a priority since the start of the January window to build on the quality we already have in the building and, in Okay, we have a proven international midfielder who we believe can help us in our battle to remain in the Premier League.

“As was the case with Mbaye Diagne and Robert Snodgrass, it is important the players joining us understand the situation in which we find ourselves, and are prepared to fight to help us achieve our goal. It is testament to Okay that he has also made the decision to commit himself to that challenge.

“Okay is a battling midfielder who wears his heart on his sleeve. We look forward to him joining up with his team-mates later this week as they prepare to face Tottenham on Sunday.”
