From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Follow the latest news and score as QPR take on Aston Villa at Loftus Road.

These two sides come into this Premier League meeting desperate for the three points.

QPR start the match bottom of the league, with just four points from their opening eight games. It's been a disappointing return to the top-flight for Harry Redknapp's side, particularly considering the investment made over the summer.

Aston Villa started the season brilliantly, with three wins from their first four games. But since victory against Liverpool at Anfield Paul Lambert's side have lost four games out of four to see them plummet back down the table. A trip to Loftus Road after some admittedly difficult games could be just what the Villains need to get their season back on track.

  • The match kicked off at 8pm
  • QPR have never lost to Aston Villa in six meetings when they've hosted them in the Premier League
  • This fixture has never ended goalless in the league - covering 42 games
