Tottenham were looking to avenge their heavy defeats suffered at the hands of Manchester City last season, but instead they were witness to a clinical masterclass from Sergio Aguero as the Argentinian striker bagged four goals against the North London side.
In a dramatic match that saw four penalties awarded, two scored and Federico Fazio red carded, City triumphed 4-1 to close the gap to Chelsea at the top of the table to two points.
