Match prediction?
While Tottenham failed to unlock a well-built Newcastle defence, Liverpool should have too much quality and creativity for Steve Bruce’s side.
A 3-0 home win is our prediction.

28 mins: GOAL! Liverpool equalise!
Newcastle sit off Andy Robertson as he comes forward down the right, Mané is waiting on the edge of the box and Robertson pulls it back. Mané runs round the ball to put it on his right foot, Newcastle's defenders try to respond but he smokes the ball into the far corner! What a strike!

Liverpool 2 - 1 Newcastle - Mané
40 mins: GOAL! Liverpool lead!
Oxlade-Chamberlain loses the ball but Firmino and Matip win it back quickly. Firmino sends the ball into the box and Mané runs onto it. Dubravka runs off his line but the ball hits his knee and loops back to Mané who has an easy tap in to double the lead.

Liverpool 2 - 1 Newcastle
45+3 mins: That's the whistle. Newcastle took the lead but Liverpool were too good in attack, got given too much possession and scored two goals to take the lead.
Liverpool 2 - 1 Newcastle
The pressure on the ball paid off for Liverpool. Newcastle wanted to play in the same manner as their win against Tottenham but Liverpool are better at taking their chances.
Things have to change for the visitors in the second half.
