Tonight's other main games and how to watch them
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. There are several interesting international friendlies taking place around Europe tonight, although not all of them will be available on terrestrial television. There are, however, other means and ways of watching, from red buttons to live betting streams. There are a host of games available on the bet365 website, where viewers can watch games immediately, once they have opened an account.
Wales v Sweden (7.45pm, Sky Sports 2)
Aston Villa centre-back James Collins will captain Wales in tonight's friendly with Sweden at Swansea's Liberty Stadium. John Toshack's side were already without Joe Ledley (hip), Dave Edwards (ankle), Joe Allen (knee) and Brian Stock (back) before Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey was forced to withdraw following his horrific leg break last weekend. Toshack will give midfielder Simon Davies his 58th cap alongside West Ham youngster Jack Collison, while the absence of Manchester City's Craig Bellamy, who is no longer considered for friendly games, will mean a youthful attacking line-up with Simon Church, Ched Evans and Sam Vokes vying for spots.
Albania v Northern Ireland (7.45pm, BBC red button)
The visitors are without Manchester United defender Jonny Evans for tonight's match in Tirana, after the centre-back picked up a knee injury in Sunday's Carling Cup final. Damien Johnson, Chris Brunt, Gareth McAuley and Warren Feeney are also out for Nigel Worthington's side.
Germany v Argentina (7.45pm)
Germany coach Joachim Löw has talked up the importance of captain Michael Ballack ahead of tonight's friendly in Munich. "Michael is an unbelievably important player who leads the younger players," he said of the Chelsea midfielder. "His presence in the squad is of huge importance." Ballack will have an important role to play against an Argentina side likely to contain the likes of Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano. Messi is likely to start just behind the in-form Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, who will play alone upfront.
Scotland v Czech Republic (8pm, Sky Sports 2)
These two have been drawn together in 2012 European Championship qualifying, and tonight's Hampden Park match will give Scotland manager Craig Levein a chance to analyse the Czechs' dangermen. Burnley striker Steven Fletcher and Rangers' Lee McCulloch miss out through injury.
France v Spain (8pm)
Seville striker Alvaro Negredo will be hoping to impress Spain manager Vincente del Bosque in this highly anticipated match in Paris, while Raymond Domenech's France are without William Gallas, Karim Benzema and Louis Saha. Panathinaikos striker Djibril Cissé has been drafted in as Saha's replacement.
England U21 v Greece U21 (6pm, ESPN)
Qualification for the 2011 European Championships continues, as England look to leapfrog Greece at the summit of Group 9. Stuart Pearce's side picked up a point in the away game, and a win tonight will put them within touching distance of next summer's finals in Denmark.
What else is on and when?
Algeria v Serbia (6.15pm), Slovenia v Qatar (7.45pm), Netherlands v USA (7.45pm), Portugal v China (8.45pm, Bet 365).
