Marcus Rashford could cause a surprise at Euro 2016 if selected in Roy Hodgson's final 23-man squad, says Clarence Seedorf.

The young Manchester United striker is among 25 players who will today discover if they have made the cut and will be boarding the plane for France this summer.

Initially considered an outsider to be included among the final 23-man squad, Rashford has been quick to make an impression following his first call up. The 18-year-old has looked at ease in his surroundings and scored just two minutes into his debut against Australia. He's now being backed to continue on that steep upward trajectory by former Netherlands international Seedorf. However the former midfielder, speaking in his role as ambassador for Champions League sponsors Nissan, has warned about putting too much pressure on Rashford.

"You need to slow it down, you should not be adding pressure (on Rashford). If he can just be used without pressure I think he's going to be a surprise. He's a very talented guy."

Seedorf, a four-times Champions League winner, added: "England's going to do well," but when it came to picking a winner of the tournament the former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Ajax player said: "I haven't a clue."

Hodgson will announce his 23-man squad later today having already informed Fabian Delph that he will be on the stand-by list. It means two more will be left disappointed, with Rashford among those considered most at risk of being chopped. Daniel Sturridge, Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkley and Andros Townsend are the others understood to be in danger.
