Manchester United could secure the signature of Borussia Dortumund winger Marco Reus in the next transfer window, with Adnan Januzaj moving in the opposite direction.

According to the Daily Star, a swap deal is 'on the cards' with United's Belgian youngster, who is currently on loan at the Bundesliga club, set to be used as the makeweight.

Reus, a £60m-rated German international, has been regularly linked to European football's elite clubs for a number of years now.

However, following Januzaj's surprise switch to the Westfalenstadion, United may have the upper hand in negotiations ahead of Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

The 26-years-old Reus, who is currently sidelined with a toe injury, recently scored a hat-trick in Dortmund's 7-2 Europa League home win against Odds BK.

He has notched a total of 39 goals in 84 appearances for his current side, as well as nine in 25 games for the German national team.
