Fabio Capello has not been contacted about the Russia job but would consider any proposal, according to his agent.

Capello, who resigned as England manager in February, has been mentioned as one of the contenders to take over the Russia post, vacated by Dick Advocaat following the European Championship.

But his agent, and son, Pierfilippo says the Russian FA have yet to get in touch.

"There has not been any contact between Fabio Capello and the Russian Football Federation so far, not even informally," Pierfilippo told Italian news agency Agi.

He hinted, however, that the 66-year-old former AC Milan, Roma, Juventus and Real Madrid coach would be interested in furthering his career in Russia - either at international or club level.

"Should an offer arrive from the national team or a club either in Moscow or another big Russian city, it would probably be a country we would take into consideration as my father would like it and be interested in going there," Capello said.

Russia flattered to deceive at Euro 2012. They started with a 4-1 thumping of the Czech Republic but followed it with a draw against Poland and a defeat to Greece which saw them eliminated at the group stage.
