As the international break returns and Premier League managers offer prayers for their players’ injury-free return, Europe’s elite continue the battle to qualify for Euro 2020 and cement their status as frontrunners.

Gareth Southgate’s England are in pole position to qualify, having won all four of their qualifiers thus far, with Czech Republic battling Kosovo for second in Group A.

Ukraine have been the surprise package of Group B, winning all but one of their five games, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal have already booked their place in the finals after clinching Nations League victory.

Elsewhere, Germany are pushing Germany in Group C, where both sides have taken 12 points from five games, leaving Netherlands in limbo in third, however, Ronald Koeman’s side do have a game in hand.

Spain have thrashed their way to six straight wins in Group F while Belgium, France and Italy have all followed suit as the continent’s heavyweights show their might. Here are our rankings:
