England moved to the top of Group B on Thursday after substitutes Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge both scored in the second-half to give Roy Hodgson's side a 2-1 victory over Wales.

Chris Coleman's side came into the match on top of Group B after beating Slovakia 2-1 last Saturday, while England were held 1-1 by Russia in Marseilles.

Despite enjoying the majority of possession in Lens, the Three Lions fell behind in the first half as Gareth Bale scored with a long-range free-kick.

England's prospects looked bleak ahead of Monday's final group match against Slovakia, only for Hodgson's changes to come up trumps.

Leicester City's Vardy levelled from close range before Sturridge toe-poked the winner in injury-time.
