Slovenia vs England: What time is kick-off, what TV channel is it on and where can I watch it?
A look ahead to England's World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night

England secured a comfortable, but uninspiring, victory against Malta on Saturday as Gareth Southgate got his tenure off to a winning start. The national side underwhelmed at times, running just two past the visitors, and ultimately struggled to impress in front of a sell-out audience. Question marks also continue to hang over Wayne Rooney who was booed off by sections of the home crowd following the final whistle on Saturday night.
Southgate’s side now face a much bigger challenge on Tuesday night as they line up against Slovenia at the Stadion Stozice. With two wins from two, England will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent winning record against a side who beat Slovakia over the weekend - their first victory since March.
It’s a big game for…
Jordan Henderson. The Liverpool player was one of England’s few stand-out players from Saturday’s games, injecting a degree of dynamism and forward-thinking momentum into the side. The challenge he now faces is replicating this form against tougher opponents. Henderson has drifted in and out of the side over the past year but, under Southgate, now has the opportunity to make that midfield position his.
Best stat…
Wayne Rooney has scored in his last two games against Slovenia, including an important winner during a Euro 2016 qualifier in June 2015.
Player to watch…
Josip Llicic. The formidable operator, who scored 15 goals for Fiorentina last season, is more than capable of picking holes in opposition defences and should keep the England backline busy on Tuesday night. Slovenia will be looking to channel much of their play through Llicic so it falls down to England’s midfield unit to nullify the 28-year-old.
