The Liverpool goalkeeper’s outstanding performances inspired Tite’s side to victory as hosts

Alisson has been named in the 2019 Copa America Team of the Tournament.

The Liverpool star inspired Brazil to victory on home soil to cap an outstanding season for club and country.

The 26-year-old also played a key role for the Reds on route to winning the Champions League.

And now Conmebol have joined Uefa in recognising his brilliance, boosting his case as a Ballon d’Or candidate.

Teammate Virgil van Dijk and Lionel Messi are also contenders for the sport’s most glittering individual prize.

Joining Alisson in the all-star XI was compatriots Everton, who picked up the Golden Ball, Arthur, Thiago Silva and Dani Alves.

Miguel Trauco, who plays his club football in Rio at Flamengo, at left-back and Jose Maria Gimenez, at centre-back, complete the back four.

Arturo Vidal rolled back the years for Chile and takes his place in a trio alongside Arthur and Argentina’s only inclusion Leandro Paredes, who anchors the midfield.

While Paulo Guerrero and James Rodriguez complete the front line with Everton.
