Your support makes all the difference.Wolves' veteran midfielder Paul Ince insists he will now think over his future before deciding whether or not to carry on for another season, after the Molineux club secured a place in the Premiership with their 3-0 First Division play-off final demolition of Sheffield United yesterday.
"I'm pleased for the lads who need to be in Premiership," the former Manchester United and England player said. "I'm going to go away and think about what to do next year. I'll be 36 next season and I'll have a chat with the wife [about playing on] but the legs were going in the last 10 minutes. But let's just enjoy the moment."
Another ex-Old Trafford stalwart, the Wolves full-back Denis Irwin, admitted he too would have to take stock before deciding whether to play on for another season. "I'm going to go away and have a think about it," he said. "I'll talk to my family, but it was hard enough out there today."
The beaten Sheffield United manager, Neil Warnock, said: "It's no good me picking on individuals in my team. We just didn't do the things we've been doing all season. I'm not going to criticise lads who have given me everything. That would be taking away from Wolves."
Warnock was removed from the touchline for the second half for verbally abusing the referee, Steve Bennett, at half-time. "I spoke to him and he sent me to watch the second half in the stands," Warnock said. "It was just a general chat. I just used the word 'consistent' a lot."
