Injured Ndah out for a month

The Wolves striker George Ndah has been ruled out for at least a month after a scan showed he has a slight tear in his Achilles tendon.

The injury-prone 26-year-old was making his comeback from a groin problem when he sustained the injury in Monday's reserve game against Barnsley.

The Birmingham defender Darren Purse faces at least six weeks on the sidelines after breaking his wrist while trying to block a shot on the training ground from manager Trevor Francis. The former England Under-21 international will be in plaster for five weeks, having broken his wrist in two places.

The Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock will today open talks with unwanted Watford defender Robert Page about a permanent move to Bramall Lane. Warnock is keen to keep Page after the Wales international completed a month on loan with the Blades.

The York manager Terry Dolan has moved to extend striker Michael Proctor's loan period at Bootham Crescent after the Sunderland forward scored a last-minute winner against Halifax on Saturday.
