From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Micky Adams says he will wait and see what the summer brings before committing himself to Leicester. The Foxes have come through a tough season, going into administration following their relegation from the top flight, but they are currently second in the First Division.

The 41-year-old wants guarantees from the board on what funds will be made available before deciding on his own future.

"I have said to the chairman and board of directors, let us all sit down in the summer and assess the season we have had," he said.

"Let's all assess where we are, what division we are going to be in – which is important – what sort of budget figures are available to us, because I want to continue to be as successful as I can.

"I want to have the tools to be successful. Having built up a great rapport with the fans at Leicester City, what I don't want to do is disappoint them next season.

"So I think they have got a lot of talking to do in the summer before we all decide on where we are going and what we are doing. I am not ruling anything in – and I am certainly not going to rule anything out."
