An incredible match at Wembley began with Matt Doherty and Raul Jimenez putting Wolves into a commanding lead, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side attempting to grind out the victory from thereon.
But Javi Gracia’s decision to introduce Deulofeu spurred Watford to a historic fightback.
The former Barcelona winger clipped an exceptional curved goal into the top-corner to peg one back before Troy Deeney levelled the game with 15 seconds to go from the penalty spot, after a careless tackle from Leander Dendoncker.
Deulofeu then completed his iconic cameo after racing through on goal to seal victory in one of the competition’s great games in recent memory.
