Your support makes all the difference.Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has warned Raheem Sterling and Jordan Ibe and reminded them of the strict code of conduct at Anfield following the recent pictures and videos that have emerged of them.
Sterling caught the headlines for all the wrong reasons after a video emerged of him inhaling nitrous oxide – known as ‘hippie crack’ – as well as smoking a shisha pipe in a separate incident.
Rodgers addressed the incident following the win over Newcastle last Monday, but immediately after another picture of Sterling emerged where he could be seen smoking a shisha pipe alongside Liverpool team-mate Ibe.
Rodgers questioned Sterling’s professionalism after the original incident, and he is due to speak on Friday ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Reading on Sunday where he is likely to be quizzed further on the youngsters’ recent behaviour.
According to The Guardian, Rodgers has already spoken with 20-year-old Sterling and 19—year-old Ibe to remind them of what he expects from his squad members, although neither will be fined or disciplined by the club as they have not committed anything illegal.
Stelring is likely to start against Reading at Wembley Stadium, but Ibe will not feature due to being cup-tied, as the England youth international has already featured in the FA Cup for Derby County during a loan spell earlier in the season.
