Simon Mignolet will return to Liverpool's starting line-up for Saturday's FA Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion.

The Belgian goalkeeper recently lost his first-choice status under Jurgen Klopp, with Loris Karius promoted to become the Liverpool manager's No 1 for the foreseeable future.

Karius started against Everton in the previous round of the competition but Mignolet will play when Alan Pardew's Baggies visit Anfield this weekend.

Klopp wants both players to maintain "rhythm" and Mignolet may now take Karius' role as Liverpool's 'cup 'keeper'.

"Simon Mignolet will play," Klopp confirmed on Friday. "I don't want to make it more confusing but I really think all goalkeepers need rhythm, training, match-time as well, so they all have the opportunity to play and keep rhythm.

"In a situation when you need to change, you then have a goalkeeper who has played a few games."

Both Mignolet and Karius have come under criticism for their goalkeeping this season, with neither player establishing themselves and making the No 1 their own.

Klopp, however, is confident that both are of sufficient "quality" and suggested that he will continue to put his faith in the pair.

"You can only do that if you have quality goalkeepers and in my opinion we can do it," he said.
