Two teams with a 100 per cent record this season meet in the Carabao Cup third round tonight, as Lincoln City host Liverpool.

Lincoln have already seen off Crewe and Bradford in reach this stage, while also winning two from two in League One.

The Reds have won both their Premier League fixtures thus far and Jurgen Klopp will likely rotate his squad for this midweek cup clash.

Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas will hope to make their debuts for Liverpool.

Team news

Liverpool are without Joel Matip and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, both injured, while Jordan Henderson also came off at the weekend. Joe Gomez should be fit after a minor complaint.

Predicted line-ups

Lincoln: Palmer; Eyoma, Montsma, Jackson, Roughan; Bridcutt, McGrandles, Jones; Anderson, Hopper, Grant.

Liverpool: Adrian; Williams, Gomez, Koumetio, Tsimikas; Milner, Grujic, Jones; Elliott, Minamino, Jota.

Odds

Lincoln: 16/1

Draw: 13/2

Liverpool: 4/17

Prediction

Liverpool’s squad should be too deep and too strong for a third-tier side, even if they lack rhythm having not played together previously. Bench options could also swing matters. Lincoln 0-2 Liverpool
