Leicester City booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a rousing 5-1 victory against League One side Peterborough on Saturday afternoon.

Fousseni Diabate, making his debut for the Foxes after signing earlier this month, and Kelechi Iheanacho were both at the double for the visitors while Wilfred Ndidi added a fifth in the second minute of stoppage time.

Andrew Hughes pulled one back for Peterborough minutes before the hour mark but it was to be nothing but a consolation goal as the hosts struggled to match Leicester’s quality and firepower.

Claude Puel had made 10 changes from the Leicester side that ran out 2-0 victors against Watford last weekend but the Foxes seemed unfazed by such tinkering.

It took all of nine minutes for the visitors to pull ahead through Diabate’s close-range toe-poke. Iheanacho doubled the lead three minutes later with a curling left-footed strike before adding a third on 29 minutes.

Meeting a sublime, arcing delivery from Christian Fuch on the left, the Nigerian striker volleyed the ball into the back of the net from five yards out for his ninth FA Cup goal in as many games.

Posh's Hughes scored after the restart to make it 3-1 following a brief period of resurgence from Grant McCann’s side but Diabate ended all hopes of a comeback with his second.

Ndidi wrapped up proceedings with Leicester’s fifth to consolidate a deeply impressive and slick victory for Puel’s men.
