Manchester City, meanwhile, will travel to the London Stadium to face top-flight strugglers West Ham United.
Another all-Premier League clash sees defending champions Leicester City take on Everton at Goodison Park.
Chelsea were handed a home draw against either Notts County or Peterborough, while Arsenal face a trip to Preston North End.
Liverpool will play either Newport County or Plymouth Argyle at Anfield and Tottenham Hotspur host Aston Villa.
The 32 third-round ties will be played on the weekend of 6-9 January 2017.
