Manchester City starlet Eric Garcia is set to make his third senior start for the club in tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg against Burton.
The 17-year-old Spanish centre-back is highly regarded in City's academy, having joined their ranks from Barcelona in the summer of 2017.
Garcia joined the Catalans aged seven and captained every youth side he played in during his time in La Masia, with club officials dismayed by his shock departure.
Garcia has since captained both City's U18 and U19 Youth League side, and regularly trains with the first team.
After starring in City’s pre-season fixture against Borussia Dortmund, Pep Guardiola said the defender “is 17 or 18 and played like he is 24 or 25”.
The defender is blessed with a wide range of passing and is gifted with the ball at his feet, and is considered to be one of the club's most prized prospects with a direct route into the first team.
