Newcastle return to north London - where they suffered a heavy defeat at the weekend at the hands of Arsenal - to face Spurs for a place in the semi-finals of the League Cup.

Both teams sit in the top half of the league table with just one point separating them.

Mauricio Pochettino will be without injured defenders Eric Dier and Kyle Naughton for the fixture. Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has returned from Ghana where he was allowed a break for personal reasons but is not expected to feature.
