Newcastle United moved in sight of Champions League qualification with a 4-1 win at Everton that kept the home team in the Premier League’s relegation zone.
Callum Wilson, selected up front ahead of Alexander Isak, scored goals either side of a header from Joelinton.
Isak came on as a second-half substitute and produced the highlight of the game with a mazy dribble down the left wing before he chipped the ball across for fellow replacement Jacob Murphy to tap home at the far post.
Everton thought it was back in the game at Goodison Park after an 80th-minute header from Dwight McNeil at a corner, which made it 3-1. Murphy, though, scored a minute later.
Newcastle stayed in third place and is eight points clear of Aston Villa in fifth, having played one game less. Newcastle has six matches to play. Everton is in next-to-last place, two points adrift of safety, and has a huge game at third-from-bottom Leicester coming up on Monday.

OFFSIDE! McNeil spins between two Newcastle players in midfield before threading it through for Calvert-Lewin, who gets away from Trippier. He darts into the box before neatly chipping a shot over Pope, but the flag goes up against him. VAR is having a look at this though...

Trippier is waiting to come back on after finishing his treatment, but he'll have to wait until after Everton's free-kick. McNeil's initial delivery is poor, but Everton keep it alive to win a corner from which Keane fires wide.

Trippier and Mykolenko both slide in to try and win the ball, and the right-back stays down holding his knee after the collision. The medical team are on, but it doesn't look good for Newcastle.

Newcastle work it well down their right, and most of the Everton players are drawn to that side. Willock has Joelinton to aim for in space at the far post, but Iwobi reads it well and gets across to block it.
