Everton vs Crystal Palace
Ndiaye and McNeil offer smart interplay on the left side of the box and Guehi blocks for a corner on that side. It's whipped in, yet Lerma nods it away strongly. Back to Pickford it goes, before Mitchell steps in to wallop out for a throw.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
It's really been a case of 'nearly' for Everton's offensive efforts. Formative moves look good, yet that final touch is missing. They've yet to have an effort on target in this game.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Palace enjoy a spell of possession now, yet it's been clear in this one that an end-to-end period is just around the corner. As we type that, Everton retain the ball, and McNeil nearly slides in Calvert-Lewin but Guehi deals with the pressure well for Henderson to claim.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Lerma steps into the back line really well for Palace, as they looked a tad disjointed there. Calvert-Lewin looked to hold up the ball before spinning away, yet the Colombian looked like he had been playing centre-back all his life with a composed interception and pass off.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Well, in near-identical fashion to their earlier goal, a deep ball to the back post this time sees Lerma flick it down and Munoz poke it on goal, yet it's blocked and goes behind! In the next corner from the left, an Eze miss-kick finds Nketiah, who fires on target. It's blocked by Tarkowski and ricohets upwards, before looping down on the goal-line for Pickford to scramble away. Young then clears as Kamada swipes. It's a foul to Everton as a collective sigh of relief gusts around Goodison.

Palace react to this pressure as Eze strides forward into the hosts' half. He then tries to pick out Mateta's run in behind, yet Mykolenko slides in well and the visitors have a corner on the right.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Flashed across the face! That's better from Everton! McNeil races to the left byline and fires a low cross in. Somehow, it misses Calvert-Lewin, Guehi and Henderson and goes out for a throw. Promising signs for the hosts.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
McNeil offers a lovely early corss from deep on the right side. Calvert-Lewin was lurking and it's headed behind for a Toffees corner on the left. After this, a skirmish in the box breaks out with head-tennis galore as Everton can't connect. Mykolenko then gets a tame effort off and Henderson claims.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Everton look enterprising down the right, yet Palace recover bodies back well. Doucoure brings it in-field and plays in Mykolenko and his speculative off-balance effort from range is an easy save for Henderson.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Everton need a response here. They have lost both of their Premier League home games so far this season. Only four times in their history have they ever lost their first three at home in a single league campaign, though one of these was last term (also 1958-59, 2005-06 and 2008-09).
