Malmo might have been placed into arguably the Champions League group of death - but their fans are absolutely delighted.

The Swedish side's reward for beating Celtic in their play-off was a group comprising Real Madrid, Paris St Germain and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Incredibly tough opponents, but due to the involvement of the French champions, means the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The mercurial striker was born in and began his career at Malmo and is in line to make an emotional return. He quickly took to Facebook to express his delight at the draw, suggesting that the entire town would want to see him.

"The best that could happen," he wrote.

"I have experienced a lot during my football career and this will be one of those moments too. It's a dream to play the Champions League in Malmo.

Too bad that all of Malmo won't fit in the stadium but I guarantee that the stadium will be heard all over Malmo. I'm on my way."

Such was the excitement among Malmo's fans that their website crashed as supporters tried to discover exactly when the sides would be meeting in Sweden.

"There was a lot of pressure on it [the website] just after the draw was made," Malmo's head of communications, Peter Ahlander, told Reuters. The site continued to struggle for 12 hours after the draw.

The sides will play at Malmo Stadion on 25 November.
