Your support makes all the difference.The KNVB (Dutch FA) will investigate PSV Eindhoven striker Jeremain Lens over an incident in the tunnel with Feyenoord defender Joris Mathijsen after Sunday’s top-flight game.
The international teammates clashed during Feyenoord’s 2-1 home win at De Kuip.
Lens sparked a mass brawl in the tunnel after the game as he waited to confront Mathijsen.
Lens received an undisclosed fine from his club took full responsibility for the altercation: “There were several incidents during the match but I should not have waited for him outside the dressing rooms,” he told a news conference.
“It got several other people involved and they tried to control the situation.”
The victory was a boost for Ronald Koeman’s young team in the hunt for the Eredivisie title. They are now in third place, just three points behind leaders PSV.
