From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Last season, Tottenham Hotspur came agonisingly close to lifting their first trophy in 11 years, and a victory over Liverpool might well have marked the greatest moment in the club’s history.

But a 2-0 defeat in the Champions League final at the Wanda Metropolitano broke the hearts of Spurs fans, who now have to motivate themselves to go through the journey again.

That journey begins on Thursday 29th August in Monaco, when the group stage draw for the competition takes place at 5pm BST.

Spurs supporters will be hoping for a more straightforward group than last season's, from which their team narrowly escaped in second place after grabbing vital points against Barcelona and Inter Milan.

Which teams would make up the easiest possible group for Tottenham, and which would present the toughest tests?

See the above gallery for Tottenham’s best and worst case scenarios in Thursday’s draw from Monaco.
