From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. The first leg will be played at the new White Hart Line (provided it is ready in time) on either February 12, 13, 19 or 20, with the return leg set for the Westfalenstadion on March 5, 6, 12 or 13.
Tottenham qualified for the round of 16 in dramatic fashion as runners-up in Group B, claiming a 1-1 draw against Barcelona at the Nou Camp on matchday six to pip Inter Milan to second spot.
It was a big moment for Spurs, who should now get the opportunity to deliver on their notorious boast that their long-awaited new White Hart Lane stadium would be “the only place to watch Champions League football in London” this season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are also going well in the Premier League, sitting third after 17 matches, but remain six points adrift of leaders Liverpool and five behind champions Manchester City.
Tottenham qualified for the round of 16 as winners of a group featuring Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund last season, but were edged out 4-3 over two legs by Juventus.
