Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has jokingly taken to Twitter to deny that he now works as a security guard in a supermarket, after a picture emerged of his doppelganger working in Spanish chain Mercadona.

The likeness of the security guard to the Spain international was so great that Ramos had to "officially deny" that he works for the supermarket chain after he was swamped on Twitter with comments about the photo.

Ramos's message translated as: "I want to officially deny that I've signed for Mercadona."

Ramos, 29, was coveted by Manchester United all summer, but would eventually stay on at Real Madrid, where he is now the club captain. Real currently sit joint top of La Liga on 21 points alongside Barcelona.
