From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Steven Gerrard’s side have made a great start to 2020/21, beating Standard Liege on Matchday 1 in Europe and sitting top of the domestic table, unbeaten 12 games in.
Their defensive work has been hailed as a key reason for their early season success, with Rangers conceding just three times in the Scottish Premiership and keeping a clean sheet in the Europa League, too.
Lech Poznan lost to Benfica last time out in the group and have won only two of their seven Polish Ekstraklasa games so far this season.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match.

What is the team news?
Nikola Katic is likely to miss out, but Rangers have few injury worries otherwise. Gerrard has a call to make up front with Alfredo Morelos in poor form, while Kemar Roofe is pushing for a start.
Mickey van der Hart is the injury absentee for the Polish side, but the bigger blow will be if Pedro Tiba misses out - he’ll have a fitness check before the game after sitting out the weekend game.

Prediction
Expect defensive discipline to continue to be a forte of the Gers this season and the away side will struggle to break them down. The first goal will be key, but the home side are more than capable. Rangers 2-0 Lech Poznan
