A televised game on BT Sport barely goes by without Michael Owen copping flak from the masses on social media and tonight’s Champions League meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea was no expection.

While many Twitter users simply can’t stand the sound of the former Liverpool and England striker’s voice, others took particular exception to Owen offering advice to the world’s best front men.

When Diego Costa headed at the hands of PSG’s ‘keeper Kevin Trapp from six yards out, the BT Sport pundit was critical of the Chelsea player.

It didn’t go down too well.

Others simply wanted to know whether Owen thought Costa was offside or not…

One user had a bright idea...

Others just wish he would give up co-commentary altogether. Maybe a career in acting is on the cards?

Poor Michael.
