Neymar has been banned from video game streaming platform Twitch after sharing Brazil teammate Richarlison’s phone number to thousands of viewers.
The Brazilian received more than 10,000 messages in just five minutes after Neymar revealed a phone call from the Everton man last month while he was playing Counter Strike.
As Neymar presented his phone towards the camera to inform his 600,000 followers, Richarlison’s name and number were clearly visible.
Richarlison soon took to social media to tell him about the immediate fallout of the move.
“Five minutes and I've already got over 10,000 messages,” he wrote. “Thanks, Neymar.”
While the platform have not revealed the reason behind the move the 28-year-old hinted at such on social media.
"Guys, I got banned from Twitch, if I'm not mistaken for seven days, because of 'Pombo' [Richarlison]," he said on his Instagram story.
Twitch hold a strong stance on privacy and copyright infringements with Neymar’s decision to not turn off game music while playing Fifa 21 recently also a possible reason for the suspension.
Richarlison was sent off in the final moments of Everton’s 2-2 Merseyside derby draw against Liverpool at Goodison Park last month for a reckless challenge on Thiago but should return to action after the international break.
