From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. That the Chelsea winger is backing the Gunners may come as a surprise.
Not only is he declaring support for one of Chelsea's fiercest London rivals, Hazard also used to ply his trade in the French league and he is mates with Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, the scorer of Monaco's third goal in the 3-1 first-leg win at the Emirates.
However, it seems the Belgium international values having an English team in the quarter-finals of the European Cup above those concerns.
"I have a friend Ferreira-Carrasco over there [at Monaco] and I wish him the best.
"But for English football, I hope Arsenal go through."
Hazard's Chelsea were knocked out by PSG whilst Manchester City are being given little chance of overturning their first-leg defeat to Barcelona.
Arsenal will need to score at least three goals in Monaco tonight to have any chance of progressing to the last eight of the tournament.
