Manchester United Champions League draw: Jose Mourinho's side to face PSG in round of 16
The first leg will be played at Old Trafford in February
Manchester United have drawn French champions PSG in the Champions League round of sixteen.
The first leg will be played at Old Trafford on either February 12, 13, 19 or 20, with the return leg set for Parc des Princes on March 5, 6, 12 or 13.
United qualified for the round of 16 as runners-up in Group H, missing the opportunity to overtake Juventus in the final round of matches by losing 2-1 against Valencia in Spain.
They are also 11 points adrift of fourth place in the Premier League having suffered their worst start to a league campaign for 28 years, meaning that their best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League may well be finding a way to win this season’s competition.
Mourinho has lifted the trophy twice before, with Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010, but it is far from certain that he will still be in charge of United by the time this tie rolls around.
United qualified for the knockout stage as winners of their Champions League group last season, only to suffer a disappointing exit against Sevilla with a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.
