Barcelona forward Luis Suarez said that his performance against Manchester City was his best since moving to the club.
The former Liverpool striker, bought for £75millon in the summer, has struggled for goals at his new club and had just seven heading into this game.
But it took just half an hour for him to regain the kind of form he showed on English soil last season, first latching onto a Vincent Kompany mistake to fire home from a tight angle before making a brilliant run at the near post to turn in Jordi Alba's cross.
"I try every game for the team and I think today with (scoring) both goals I am so happy," he told ITV after the game.
"If they lose the game 3-1 it's really difficult for them in the other game, but I think at 2-1 it's a good result."
