Manchester United vs Barcelona: Champions League preview

Diogo Dalot starts for Manchester United alongside Luke Shaw and Ashley Young as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to stifle Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Fred and Scott McTominay are named in the centre of midfield after Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic failed to recover from injuries in time to make the matchday squad.

Jesse Lingard drops to the substitutes' bench in the one change from the United side beaten at Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Romelu Lukaku starts up front with Marcus Rashford, who passed a late fitness test after recovering from an ankle injury. Anthony Martial is kept in reserve.

Alexis Sanchez trained for the first time on Tuesday after a month on the sidelines with a knee ligament issue but is not named in Solskjaer's squad.

Nelson Semedo starts at right-back for Barcelona ahead of Sergi Roberto, with Arthur named in midfield. Messi joins Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho in attack.
