From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Aaron Ramsey: The Welshman could start his first match since the opening-day defeat to Liverpool, when he was taken off with a hamstring injury. He returned to the first-team fold on Saturday, coming off the bench and assisting Alexis Sanchez for the Gunners’ fourth goal barely a minute after coming on. Ludogorets were humbled 6-0 at the Emirates just under a fortnight ago and if selected, Ramsey will fancy his chances of doing some damage.

Remember when…
Arsenal topped a group consisting of Marseille, Olympiakos and Borussia Dortmund in 2011-2012? It was the last time that the Gunners had topped a Champions League group.

Olivier Giroud: The combination of a rest period following the Euros and a toe injury has limited his opportunities this term. However, two goals with as many touches on Saturday illustrated his ability (albeit against poor opposition). Ludogorets could provide similarly easy pickings.
