Liverpool dismantled Roma 5-2 at Anfield to place one foot into the final of the Champions League.
The Reds started at an electric pace and took the lead when Mohamed Salah curled a sublime shot beyond Brazil number one Alisson and into the top left-hand corner of the goal.
He then doubled Liverpool’s lead with a clever dink over the onrushing Alisson, shortly before half-time.
Salah then went from goalscorer to provider when he pulled the ball back across the face of goal for Sadio Mane. And just five minutes later Roberto Firmino made it four, with a close-range finish.
Firmino’s header then appeared to put the tie to bed, although two late goals from Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti leave Roma with something to play for next week.
