Lionel Messi is arguably the best footballer in the world - if he's not then he's certainly in the top two.

All that talent can't account for taste, unfortunately, as Messi proved with his latest tattoo.

His long-term girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo shared an image on her Instagram account of their son, Thiago, colouring in a terrible bit of ink.

The world's most expensive left leg features a very basic looking black and white football above a sword, some wings and the No 10 - his number for Barcelona.

The caption reads: 'Finishing the tattoo for Papi.'

It's not the first bad tattoo Messi has sported, however, with the Argentine superstar having the imprints of his newly-born son on his left calf.

Messi and Barcelona will meet David Moyes' Real Sociedad on Sunday.
