Kingsley Coman has been subject to transfer speculation over the past few months, but the Bayern Munich man says he’s only interested in furthering his success with his current club.

Both Manchester clubs have been linked with the France international, with City rumoured to have seen him as a replacement for Leroy Sane - who joined Coman at Bayern - and United supposedly seeing him as an alternative to Jadon Sancho, who they unsuccessfully pursued in the summer.

However, with three years left on his deal at the Allianz Arena and a prominent role in the team under Hansi Flick, Coman has no intentions of departing Bavaria early after being assured of his importance despite the signings of Sane and Douglas Costa.

“It's good to know that good teams are interested in me, it gives me additional confidence," he said to SportBild, per Goal.com.

"But I have a contract here until 2023, I'm just thinking of Bayern. It's all good, I'm happy. I had the feeling that I could be used less often. I'm 24, that's an age I have to play! Fortunately, my fear did not come true.

“Leroy is very good, we play differently from City, he will only completely internalise our DNA. There's four of us fighting for two positions, we're team-mates, but of course, we all want to play as much as possible.

"At the moment I'm in a good mood, but maybe that will change in two months. Maybe then Leroy, Serge [Gnabry] or Douglas [Costa] will play. It is important that at least two of us are always in top form. "

Coman, who scored the winning goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Lisbon, has claimed seven assists in the Bundesliga this season and his team sit top of the table once again.

He is looking to achieve more success in both competitions with Bayern, pointing to the type of dominance Real Madrid achieved recently as something to try and emulate.

“We are young or in our prime, so we still have time! We can and want to defend the title. Between 2016 and 2018 Real Madrid won the Champions League three times. I am sure that we can shape an era with this team."
